Paint Stripping Buildings
 
Removing old paint to expose brick work, - this paint covering also made the house damp by trapping water behind the old paint - now it can breath again and also the house looks much better - adding value to the property.

The house below is built of chalk and the front was build around 1825 the stone work was painted about 1981. Malcolm stripped off the old paint exposing the stone in 2005, some repair was needed mainly at the lower level by a stone mason and some repointing was carried out by Malcolm using a lime mortar. The building can now breath again without trapping water and moisture between the stone and any coating.
 
The house was finished with limewash coatings (applied by Malcolm) and is now looking A1.

After doing a test area work started to remove all the paint exposing the brickwork once again.
All cleaned down & wood work re-painted.
